Pastor Debra Smith

Debra L. Smith is the Co Pastor of Cities of Refuge Harvest Center in Charleston,   SC. She was born March 2, 1960 to Roy Lee and Doris Carson in New Smyrna Beach Florida where she grew up. She later received her Associates Degree at Flagler Career Institute in Jacksonville, FL majoring in Respitory Therapy.

Pastor Debra Smith met her husband Vincent C Smith at age eighteen. They have been together for thirty-one years with two decades spent in the military as her husband served in the United States Navy. They have three children, and four grandchildren. While in Rota, Spain the calling into ministry was undeniable upon their life. Ministry for the Smith’s has been increasingly life changing for them as well as those they reach for over ten years now.

Debra Smith has had a number of years of administrative and management experience, including once employed as a Department Supervisor in customer service for a major telecommunications company, she was a Director of Memory Care at an assisted living facility.  Co-Pastor Smith is known for her high energy, good moral, self motivating and goal oriented to those she comes into contact with.

Debra Smith takes pride in serving and being engaged in her community with helping young adults, especially women.  She has begun an annual Women’s Forum, dealing with multiple key issues that women deal with on a day to day basis.   Pastor Smith believes in demonstrating what she believes and being an example to help uplift others and always looks to encourage others.
