OUR STORY

My name is Joe DeSimone and I am the founder of Successimo. About 35 years ago, my wife, Janet and I owned a real estate company on Long Island, New York. We started from scratch, borrowed $3,500 and I promised myself that, no matter what, I will succeed in the real estate business. As the years went by Janet and I did very well and grew our business substantially. We grew it to a point where we had over 300 salespeople and employees. Our business grew into many phases of real estate including Building, Developing, Mortgage Banking and Computer Services.

We developed computer systems that were able to highlight those salespeople who were not performing well, therefore increasing their probability of leaving the business or going elsewhere to be successful.

I concluded that I must somehow further train these struggling folks to help save them from failing. So every Tuesday night for about 12 years my assistant would get on the phone invite those struggling to come into a training session.

I learned so much more than I taught! Firstly, all my salespeople knew the academics of real estate. We taught them very well as they joined the firm. They also knew the classical words and scenarios of sales. What I learned very quickly is that these well-intentioned sales people did not know how to be successful. They had no clue in terms of what are the principles and activities of success.

My lesson plans changed totally in a matter of 2 weeks. There had to be a paradigm change in the way these individuals think and act in order to be successful. I became a student of the masters of self-improvement. If names like Napoleon Hill, Zig Ziegler, Deepak Chopra, and Tony Robbins strike a chord with you, they all contributed to my understanding of what it takes to be successful. My belief is that the real truth is that achieving success is absolutely possible for all. For some it takes more effort than for others, but for sure, we all have what it takes. The question is: Are people ready to accept the truth and pay the price?

So I decided to create a vehicle, Successimo, by which anyone who has a burning desire, can be successful in whatever area of their life they may choose.

It is so important to understand that before one learns the intellectual and academic matters of success, that they must desire, appreciate, sacrifice, and implement those aspects of character that are an antecedent to their intellectual and academic knowledge base.

So before any and all success comes the thought processes that allow us to achieve our goals must be developed. Our Community of Success oriented membership and Learning Activities enable our members to develop and sustain these habits of thought and behaviors that allow them to define and accomplish what success means to them.

Join us and share Successimo with your family, friends, and associates!
